• Journal Entries: When you use our Panic Journal, the thoughts, feelings, and trigger logs you write are stored locally on your device (or in your private iCloud storage). We do not have access to your raw journal entries.
• AI Companion Chat: When you chat with our AI Companion for support, the text prompts you enter are sent securely to our artificial intelligence service providers to generate supportive responses. We do not link these prompts to your real name or personal contact info.
• Feedback and Support: If you contact us for customer support or feedback via our contact forms, we may collect your email address and any information you choose to provide to help resolve your inquiry.

B. Information Collected Automatically

• Device & Usage Data: We may collect limited technical information, such as your device model, operating system version, and general app usage stats (e.g., exercises completed). This is used solely to troubleshoot, monitor app performance, and improve our services.
• No Tracking: We do not track you across other websites or apps. We do not use advertising identifiers (such as IDFA) for behavioral advertising or profiling.

🤖 Use of Artificial Intelligence

Catly includes an AI-powered emotional support companion. This AI is designed to act as a gentle conversational guide and provide evidence-based coping strategies in real-time.

• Secure Processing: Your chat messages are transmitted securely to our AI service providers (such as OpenAI) solely to process and generate the companion's response.
• No Model Training: Our AI partners are contractually obligated not to use your prompts to train public AI models.
• Not Therapy: The AI Companion is not a licensed therapist or a medical service. It is designed solely for self-care and emotional validation. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please seek professional medical help.

❌ No Selling or Sharing of Data

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your private journal entries, panic logs, or chat history with third-party advertisers, data brokers, or marketing networks.

We only share data with service providers who assist us in operating the App (such as hosting, AI processing, and crash reporting) and only to the extent necessary to perform their services under strict confidentiality agreements.

💾 Data Storage, Retention, and Security

The security of your personal data is our top priority. We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your information.

• Local Storage: Most of your sensitive data (like daily logs and journal entries) is stored locally on your own iOS device. If you delete the app, this local data is deleted.
• Cloud Sync: If you enable iCloud sync, your data is backed up to your personal Apple iCloud account. We do not have access to your private iCloud container.
• Data Minimization: We retain other logs (like anonymized technical analytics) only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy or to comply with our legal obligations.

Our Services are not designed or intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately from our servers.
